yatta!!

I've been watching Hana Yori Dango 2, or HYD2 for all your newbs to this drama ;), and well, I have to say that only after watching the 1st episode of the second season last night, I realized that I've rekindled my love for asian dramas. It's funny cuz I've never really been interested in Chinese dramas (except for the ones my mom watched on TVB when I was younger..like Kindred Spirit)....but it's been Japanese dramas which have been knockin my socks off lately. I know I know...it's not the time to be letting my life dwindle away by watching dramas while neglecting my studies...but I think this one's worth it. Damn it, every time I watch a drama I think it's worth watching!!

You know what makes a drama 200x better? Not just the obligatory subtitles...no. But the soundtrack. Every drama that I've ever watched had me downloading the soundtrack right after the first episode. Without these songs, there would be no drama.

So why is it that I'm writing this random blog...? You guessed it. I've been listening to the soundtrack all morning =)

Here is the main song from the 2nd season (hence the name 'Main Theme'). It makes me want to do something phenomenal and claim triumph over it. Hey, maybe it might be my theme song after I finish the GMATs, which I postponed to Oct 19th, btw. But all minor details aside, and back on track with sound tracks, here it is:

80s mania

Here's a blast from the past....the 80s to be precise. This song really invokes images of flashing disco balls, strobe lights, and big aphros. My first rekindling with this song was probably at Ding-Dong-Dang back in July when Krew was all in harmonious unison as we sang this. Then I remember that JJ was watching this up in the hotel room in Oxnard a couple of weeks ago...I think this song was in Family Guy? Enough babbling....here's the song:

....come to an end.... with that being said...I guess this post will be a tribute to a little bugger that I grew to know pretty fast (an hour actually). Let this be a tribute to "小 mao mi" AKA 'little cat/kitten'.

Okay, who am I kidding? I hated this thing. Not only did it have a missing eye, but it was malnourished and on the brink of death by starvation. It was also selfish and didn't even appreciate the fact that we were feeding it in its time of desperation and despair. When Bra and Kel found this thing the day before, it apparently had a more pronounced hiss. What was this thing kidding? It's hiss sounded like the steam coming out of a tea kettle. Anywho...this is what it looked like...

that's right....it became road kill in the driveway that it frequented.

I think this post should make us all realize how much we should appreciate our lives and remember to be thankful for all that you're given. When I saw how this cat was selfish in taking the bread and STILL hissed at me....I got mad.

Mao Mi - I'm not even gonna say RIP to you....cuz damn it, I hated you.

....I have a feeling I'm going to be haunted by the spirit of this cat for some time ....
