....1 month
from the end of September til today, I realized that I've traveled on 5 different airlines. i think this just goes to show the variability in the airfare market. i bought each ticket based on best pricing. i kinda wish all these airlines were in one alliance, cuz then i'd have hella frequent flier miles by now =( ironically, im a mileage member for 3/5 of these airlines....sigh....
good news is that i dont have anymore trips for the rest of the year. no trips = no more hole in my wallet. but who knows....i might end up taking an ad-hoc trip anyway =P

tuesday morning gmail jibber
so for all of you who don't know... my high school friends and I have a G-Mail thread that we all participate in to emancipate us from the grips of corporate hell while at work (needless to say, save us from insanity). this morning's conversation took a turn for the sexually frustrated and kinky. it all started with wanting to set up a dinner for tonight....
Jevon: wait so does that mean dinner is canceled?
Scott: not necessarily...you guys could still go!
Steven: if i'm not going, then there really is no necessity for any of you to go out to dinner.
Scott: word up.
Jevon: two words for u scott...first one rhymes with suck. second one rhymes with up.
Scott: why would i have to suck up to bra? i already have him sucking my dick. hahaha! jk bra...jk...
Claire: I miss you guys so much...and gosh boys you guys are sooo immature... always about dicks and pussies!
Jevon: i miss claire's p*ssy
Jevon: ooo silly mr. beaver...
Scott: damn jev...you and your muffburgers
Claire: LoL ... soooo ridiculous
Steven: i dont suck your dick, i just eat your muffin top :P
Claire: Very disturbing!!! you guys should stop there
Scott: wait a minute..i dont have a muffin top..i have a cupcake!
Jevon: wait that describes the same type tho doesnt it? or am i picturing it wrong.
Jevon: the other type could be called a bacon wrapped hotdog.
Steven: jevon! how'd u know it taste like bacon?? and i apologize, i meant, cupcake top w/ cream cheese frosting. yummy
Scott: well i dunno..but all i know is that i prefer cupcakes over muffins period. lol
Scott: MMM LETS GET SPRINKLES!
Jevon: remember that one time u passed out in the apt and woke up naked? ya...
Kelly: did someone say sprinkles?!
Kelly: I had Scott's sprinkles las night..
Scott: you were really good w/ my sprinkles....i hope you enjoyed my sprinkles as much as i enjoyed your pinkberry
Steven: II_i two in the pinkberry, one in the stinkberry!
Kelly: yeah, my pinkberry feels raw for some reason. you need more practice on handling pinkberrys scott
Scott: sorry ill work that stinker better next time kel ;)
Kelly: i can't wait!
sooooooo.....now all of you should be inundated with disgust!! way to go Krew!

done..
...and done!! so yesterday was the test and i'm just glad to say that i'm done with that thing, at least for the mean time. i dont really feel like there's any thing celebrate really. let's just leave it at that. but now with that stupid menace out of the way, i can play more! SO LETS GO OUT GUYS =D
another thing that i'm done w/ is Hana Yori Dango 2. i FINALLY finished the series this morning and i have to say that every drama i watch replaces my former 'favorite' drama. THIS DRAMA WAS AWESOME!! im friggin sad that its over though. Kel, you have to intro me to a new one to get my mind off this one =P but yeah...i remember a while back i was writing about how OST (soundtracks) really make or break a drama. this series has had one of the best OSTs ever. i have both seasons! one thing that disappoints me is that there is one song in the series that isn't on the soundtrack...and now im scavenging the web to find out the name of it.
here is the clip of the song on youtube. if by chance any of you know the name of it, please fill me in thanks!
on a side note, this guy is freakin awesome. on the notes section of this video, it says that he's playing it all by ear. WHAT THE!! i wish i could learn to play this song...hmm...maybe i should learn to play the piano first =P

emotional bifurcation
to demonstrate exactly what the title of this post means, here is an illustration for all your visual people:
with the GMATs less than 24 hours away, i'm falling into the depths of anxiety and grief. hell, even my face shows it with the break-outs i've been having. as i think back on the last couple of months of studying and prepping for this thing, i cant help but feel disappointed about my lack of discipline in studying harder. when looking at it in a different perspective, i realize that maybe its just my inability to pick things up quickly, especially math, like those math whizzes out there. or maybe its just my lack of test-taking skills. in any case, i definitely don't feel prepped enough to take it tomorrow. but all i can do is look this monster in the face and get it over with. it definitely wont be my last time taking this thing...so at least i should look to that as something positive, and consider this as a learning experience.
now to the flipside of things. there has to be something happy in my life. and i think i've found it....YouTube videos! hahaha so here i sit at work just thinkin bout what to watch, when it dawned on me that there was a video a while back that really made my stomach hurt. so to share my happiness at the moment with all of you, here's the video...ENJOY!
it was a video made for a class project in Korean 1A @ UCLA. HELLA FUNNYYYY! =D

a change of pace
i think i've pretty much decided that SF is going to be my life for the next 2 or 3 years. this past weekend really gave me time to reflect on my options and i concluded that right now, it's time to explore. quite a bit of people recently have had their own divergent road in life which had them learn a little more about themselves--
Bra: teaching English in China for a year
Claire: going to anywhere but home to get an 'experience'
Carrie and Mike: wanting to move up to SF just for the same reasons as mine.
these people are just a few examples of what i need right now. B-school will always be there. suffice to say, i need a little more experience anyway (1.5 years is pretty substandard for B-school). i really want to gain some experience so that i can write a kick-ass admissions essay without feeling guilty about making it all up.
SOCAL has always been good to me. but i feel like being contained in this bubble, especially the 626, has kept me really sheltered from other things that i could be doing. i kinda feel like the high school student who wants to break free from his/her parents and go off to college far away. there's a difference between me and those kids. they actually got to spend at least 2 year of their lives branching out and experiencing new things. don't get me wrong...being in socal has definitely been awesome...it's actually been my life. but it's definitely time for a change--someone turn up Frou Frou's "Let Go" (is that even an appropriate song??)
so yeah...just my shpeel. i think the hardest part now is letting my dad know =P he's gon' be pissssseddddd haha
on another note...daylight savings is coming up! for all of you who don't know and need a reminder as to when it is, it's on NOVEMBER 4 this year. what i didnt know is that our daylight savings is actually a LAW. what the hell? i didnt know you could standardize time through a LAW. here is an exerpt of what i found regarding daylight savings:
Starting in 2007, daylight time begins in the United States on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November. On the second Sunday in March, clocks are set ahead one hour at 2:00 a.m. local standard time, which becomes 3:00 a.m. local daylight time. On the first Sunday in November, clocks are set back one hour at 2:00 a.m. local daylight time, which becomes 1:00 a.m. local standard time. These dates were established by the Energy Policy Act of 2005, Pub. L. no. 109-58, 119 Stat 594 (2005).
Not all places in the U.S. observe daylight time. In particular, Hawaii and most of Arizona do not use it. Indiana adopted its use beginning in 2006.
* In 2006, daylight time begins on April 2 and ends on October 29.
* In 2007, daylight time begins on March 11 and ends on November 4. [New law goes into effect.]
* In 2008, daylight time begins on March 9 and ends on November 2.
Many other countries observe some form of "summer time", but they do not necessarily change their clocks on the same dates as the U.S.
Daylight time and time zones in the U.S. are defined in the U.S. Code, Title 15, Chapter 6, Subchapter IX -
